I’m guilty of putting all my attention and effort on my looks. I was determined to maintain a certain body weight and be thin.
But it’s hard to keep up with that goal! It’s a lot of pressure to put on yourself and not even that fun. Most importantly, the overall health aspect can be neglected. Maybe not intentionally, but when your sole focus is to be thin, thinking about health is bound to take a back seat. What’s the point of being really thin if your health is poor or you have no energy or you just aren’t living life to the fullest?
I’ve now made a goal is to change my focus from being thin to improving overall health and fitness and enjoy life to the fullest in the process.
A large part of this overall goal is to conquer my sugar cravings. I have a sweet tooth the size of Texas, and it has taken its toll on the way I eat, as well as how I feel – in other words, not good!
I’m using my blog to record my journey towards overcoming my sugar addiction, as well as highlight new exercises I’m enjoying, and health-related topics I’ve learned.
Reading individuals’ personal health and fitness battles and triumphs encourages and motivates me towards reaching my goals. I hope I can do the same for you. By adding my personal stories I hope to encourage and motivate you towards better health and fitness.
